Bettina Franke Holzkunst shares a family history of wood artisanry that goes back six generations.
Bettina’s great-great-grandfather made German Folk Art ‘Erzgebirge’ figures. In 1956 her Mother received her Master Craftsman Diploma, one of the first women in the industry to be qualified. In 1981, Bettina successfully completed her studies in Mechanical Engineering and Master Craftsman training, she then launched her own unique wood artisan work.
Bettina’s Christmas figures draw upon the tradition of her family, she produces unique hand turned art only available in Australia at Its Ozzy.
